IPv6 in IPv4 tunnel support

I recently setup an IPv6 in IPv4 tunnel using my BT broadband connection; however it appears to have stopped working; I've checked my router firewall and all is fine - packets just don't seem to be getting through to my tunnelbroker.

It works over protocol 41 - I wondered if BT place any restrictions on use of this type of service.

Re: IPv6 in IPv4 tunnel support

Which broker are you using? Did you have to specify a local IPv4 endpoint or are you using an AYIYA tunnel?

Remember that you are using NAT with a dynamic IP address!

Re: IPv6 in IPv4 tunnel support

Hurricane Electric; my endpoint information gets updated automatically as soon as it changes (which is not often) by a cron job on the computer providing the tunnel endpoint.

I also swapped out my Homehub with an older Netgear one which can be configured to respond to pings over the WAN port - a requirement for HE tunnels.

I've also checked the firewall log on the Netgear router; the protocol 41 traffic is allows and passed through just fine.
