Hi Guys
I have a BT premier email account from when I moved to another broadband provider but now I am back I thought the advisor who helped me set up the account had correctly imported the premier email address as it is there in my BTID as favourite. However I am still being charged £7.50 per month, I have raised a complaint and spoken at length to Premium Mail service desk and got nowhere as they insist there should be an "import" button in the email section of My BTID but there isn't. Can you please advise how a. I can fix this clash of favourite vs premium and b. how I stop you charging me every month?
Many thanks
Ian
Hi @Ian0508
Welcome to the community.
I can help look at this to align this address over to your Broadband account.
I've sent you a private message asking for some more details.
Thanks
Stuart
Just so that you are aware, this is a BT residential customer to customer forum. Your post does not go to BT. The only BT staff are the forum moderators who do not necessarily read all the posts.
If you log onto your MyBT and go to "Your Products" then "Mail, manage" there should be an "Import an email address" button just above the FAQ near the foot of the page.
However, if your "ex-premium" email account is already showing in your MyBT and assuming that the MyBT is the one for your current BT Broadband account and not your previous BT Broadband account or one you set up for the BTPremium email account, it means that the email account is already "imported" and does not need to be and can not be imported again.
It would appear to be a billing problem and nothing to do with an "import" problem.
EDIT: Post crossed with moderators post.
