In 2018 were complete Wi-fi black disks free FTTP

Go to solution

Hi when I bought fibre Halo 1 complete Wi-fi

100 mbs guaranteed: I thought the black disks were free.

just looking at a new contract and BT make one price for broadband halo one and an extra £7.00 to keep the discs I thought were free. I am sure at the time the adverts said they are yours to keep.

does anyone know ?

Hi @bbbill999   You appear to be grouping three products in one. Fibre is the broadband, Halo 1 is an add on benefit and Complete WiFi is the SH2 and black discs. Complete WiFi is normally an extra cost per month. Note the black discs have always been on loan with Complete WiFi and must be returned if you cancel your Complete WiFi contract.

Yes they were.As you already have them then if entering a new contract you would only have to pay for any extra ones you wanted to keep.

As far as I can remember, the discs have only ever been loaned to the user and should you stop the package they have to be returned or you will be charged for them.

See this thread and the early debate about if the discs are rented or owned and message 90 about being charged for the disc if it is not returned.

Thankyou everyone: seems my memory is completely shot.

If I buy them , then loose the guarantee: frankly a bit of a struggle to get full Wi-fi anyway.will post separately
