I got an email this morning saying my contract is ending soon.
I arranged a new contract about a week ago.
The contract details on MyBT are correct.
Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing at BT ?
Marketing and other notification emails are planned in advance and sent out in batches, the 'End of contract Notification' you received would of been created a while back, then sent when you approached the last 10-40 days before the end of your previous contract.
It just happens you're on the ball and negotiated a new deal without needing reminded, you can ignore it.

And clearly the the answer to my original quwstion is "NO".
Should not be a problem to stop such emails as soon as any new contract is in place.
It shouldn't but it's probably not something they will undertake at this time
