you can check here for any reported faults 08007830056
with the connection problems you have and if you are in test socket, new filter and quiet line ok then I would get mods involved for help
can take up to 3 working days for mods to contact you
Just an afterthought but have you tried another router? if you don't have one can you borrow one jusy to eliminate the router
No reported problems at the exchange.
I have an old-ish D-Link router but can't get it too connect
Hopefully the Mods will be able to do something
Ok that worked. Now connected with the D-Link router. I'll leave it on and see how it copes this evening.

changing router has really helped and speed more like it should be - possibly faulty router before?
BT Speedtest results...........
Download speedachieved during the test was - 0.1 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.05 Mbps-0.25 Mbps.
Your DSL Connection Rate :2.53 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 0.14 Mbps
I would doubt your profile is stuck but rock bottom due to your previous very low conenction speeds and it will recover automatically on it's own given a stable connection 24/7 for 3+days maybe sooner
Remains to be seen what will happen when the speed drops down at its usual time in the late evening. I suspect it will be back to square one on connection time. Have contacted the mods anyway. I think it will have to be an engineering solution but who knows!
