Infinity 1 - Self Install?

Go to solution

Hi there,

I'm getting conflicting information regarding my upcoming Infinty 1 upgrade. When I ordered, the lady explained how the hub will be sent in the post and I'll be able to install it myself as I expected.

But on my order page, and in a few emails, it's stating I'll have to wait at home on a certain date to wait for an engineer to install? Is this just a default thing on the ordering page or do I really need to wait in?

Already have the SSFP Infinity master faceplate installed running ADSL2+ at present.

Any ideas?
Regards,
Matt

You should not need to wait in, as all the work is done at the cabinet by Openreach.

Thats what I was pretty sure of, but with conflicting information from both the Live Chat help and the emails I had to question... I'll remain 'available' on the day anyway so if need be I can let him in.

Thanks Keith. Happy New Year to you sir. 🙂

Provided you provised a contact number, they will call if they have problems. Leave the HH5 plugged in on the day.
