No the install seemed to be ok. I started the HH5 and it connected about 2 hours after the cab man did his thing.

I suspect a wiring problem but I'm unsure whether it's your internal wiring or external before the wire enters your property.

You are going to have to contact BT and report a fault to them. Inform them that you did a self install and the poor speeds you have. They should send an engineer out to check things out.

There should not be a charge. It should be classed as part of your install. If an engineer had called in the first place he would have sorted any faults, internally or externally as part of the install.

There is no internal wiring. The dropwire goes straight into a box at the front window and I plugged straight in to it. There are no extensions. The cab is about 20 yards away.
