Re: Infinity 1 download speed slower than before upgrade

Just an update on my problem. Phoned helpline sun 9/2. They booked engineer appointment for today tues 11/2 between 8.00 and 1.00. Engineer came at 8.00 and has just left. He found that there was an RF filter in the terminal box which was causing the problem and also fitted a new faceplate. Just done speed test and is now 39mb/sec. So very efficient and satisfactory conclusion.

That's good news. Where was the terminal box, is that where the line from the pole meets the house?

Do your line stats on the HH5 look better now?

Re: Infinity 1 download speed slower than before upgrade

Yep. The box is at the top inside of the window and about a metre of cable to the faceplate box on the widowsill.

and yes the line stats do look better.

Apparently the RF filter that was causing the problem was originally used to stop radio interference on the phone line.
