Infinity 2 Constant drop out Slow speeds

Hey BT people please help, for about 6 or 7 weeks now my connection has been cutting out and dropping between 4-8 times an hour and I've finally had enough.

When first purchased the Infinity 2 package I was getting over 50mbs which I was delighted with but now with the constant cutting out I believe I've been "bandes" from what I can tell from other people's posts on these forums.

I'm getting anything between 1 - 30mbs which for the money we're paying isn't acceptable.

Here are some things that's might help;

Re: Infinity 2 Constant drop out Slow speeds

Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results. Make sure you delete your phone number before posting.

http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

Can you use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.

http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/
if you have a Homehub 5 can you also post the stats from 1-12 by logging onto the homehub management pages then troubleshooting > helpdesk. http://bthomehub.home/

Re: Infinity 2 Constant drop out Slow speeds

Anyone got an idea? Also when the Internet drops and I try access the modem settings it sometimes doesn't load, so thinking maybe a router error? But when I troubleshoot there's no problems.

Re: Infinity 2 Constant drop out Slow speeds

Have you tried the quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 you should hear no noise if you can hear noise then it needs reporting to BT faults on 151 with no mention of broadband in the call

Re: Infinity 2 Constant drop out Slow speeds

Got rid of our house phone years ago, I'll try and see if I can get hold of one in the next few days. Everyone uses mobiles in my house.

Done some digging around Google using the errors in the Event Log. Seems I'm getting unusual activity from IP addresses from countries like Vietnam and USA. Non stop port forwarding disconnects. And sometimes I can't even load 192.168.1.254. and get obtaining up address hangings when trying to connect.

Even looked into setting a DNS server but the crappy HH5 doesn't allow such a thing..... And tried turning off UPnP which did jack all. Totally regretting going with BT, should of gone with Virgin....
