We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
Enjoying the speed increase from our measly 12mb, now we're spoilt by Infinity 2, but I am also a bit dissapointed the max download i have received is 6.5mbs. Speedtest.net regularly says it is 55mb, so i'm not sure. I have tried downloading items and I have never reached the 70s/80s.
I only got switched over from our old service on Tuesday, is there a wait time or should it really be the max speed regardless.
The only thing worth mentioning is. I am using the same DSL cable from my home hub 4, I examined the cables and they are identical (We got our BT service last april so we have newish hardware anyway). Is it worth swapping the DSL cable/ethernet cable to the HH5 ones? Much like USBs, I assume they're generic components.
If theres anything I can do to try and get max speed let me know
hi. i could look like a real tool here but i think there is a difference with download speeds. I think that your download speed is 55 mega bits per second and you are downloading at 6.5 is megabytes per second which i believe equal the same thing. like i said i could be wrong
55 megabits(informal notation: kilobyte = 1024 bytes)
looks like i was right after all
Can you copy and paste the results from the https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html including exchange and cab number but delete your phone number before posting.
try reading the technical glossary which is at top of forum board it may save you asking some other questions https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Infinity-Speed-Connection/Technical-Glossary/td-p/1434076

your connection speed is lower than estimate was this a self install? if so are you using the master or test or extension socket? if not test socket unless you have SSFP have you tried the test socket to see if that improves things
I only have one socket/hole on our wall, and attached to that socket is a microfilter [i think!] with the ADSL port and phone line ports plugged in.
