Theres nothing in the terms of use that forbid unlocking the modem. Nothing that even forbids the discussion of it.

this argument is pointless, it infringed the terms of use, not specifically for what it said, but it did in some way hence why the post has been removed.

Its not really pointless as it can help people diagnose faults and issues with service. I just want to know what clause forbids it.

but it also breaks openreach's terms and conditions because the modem is openreach's network termination point for FTTC. it's exactly the same as changing any d-side cabling yourself behind the test socket.
