Infinity Speed Snail

Go to solution

I'v been on BT Ifinity for about 3 years now with hardly any problems but recently my streaming started buffering and games would just freeze... i did a speed test and found out instead of speeds upto 52mb as now reported on the BT website i am actually getting between 4-9mb, no wonder i have buffering problems. BT retail servers is to blame??? This was reported as an error last Tues 26/4/16 and was supposed to have been fixed by Fri 29/4/16 obviously the fact that i am taking the time to write this it hasn't yet been done and i have received no update on when it will actually be fixed???

Can someone please let me know how much longer it will take to resume my normal speeds, thanku.

Re: Infinity Speed Snail

this is a customer help customer forum and your post does not go to BT

if you use a modem and HH then all relevant stats are held by the modem not router.  however can you run btspeedtester  and when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post results to highlight your problem

Re: Infinity Speed Snail

Thank you for your replies and help a BT engineer has been and fixed my broadband and im back upto speeds of 58mb 😉

Apparently it was caused by an engineer accidently disconnecting my ph line from the top of the pole while fixing someone elses, and that then affected my broadband speed, but its sorted and im Happy 🙂
