Infinity speed down to3mbps/fault

Hello

 

My infinity speed has dropped from 45mbps to 3mbps, this is using a ethernet cable too. I was informed that there was a fault  (fault number VOLO53-***********) while trying to run a speed test via your help page, this was on the 30th oct. It was reported on the 5th of November that the fault was fixed (it wasnt, ran independent speed tests) and today while again trying to run a speed test via your help page, it again told me that i had a problem (fault number VOL053-**********). I have ran your "BT Wholesale Broadband Performance Test" results are as follows

 

Download speed- 3.13

Upload speed 0.73

Ping 45.00

IP Profile for your line is 3mbps

Can you dial 17070 from your landline and see if the line is quiet.

Hi @dharrison and welcome.

 

Have you managed to check the line for noise? If there is noise on the line you need to report it to 151 as a line fault. Once that's sorted the broadband connection should recover automatically.
