I am at the end of my tether with BT.
The Indian callcentre is just a waste of time as they read a script, disconnect all but 1 PC etc etc. and eventually say " you have very good connection sir".
Oh and thats after waiting to be answered for over 1 hour.
My upload speed has gone from 6Mb to 3Mb the day BT took over the line yer they insist they do not profile the line in any way.
Have been through the customer service via the Chairman only to be told - we do not guarantee ANY upload speed, stop moaning - they really don't care. My previous ISP gave me a stable 30Mb down and 6Mb up for 2 years.
Also every 2 weeks the router calls home to check for updates or maybe it's just lonely and EVERY time it reboots and locks the wired ports - BT says it doesn't but I know it does and its infuriating.
If that is the best my line can do I will go with Sky - they are offering me 1 year for FREE.
Just to add insult to injury, My BT tells me I can have a faster broadband by signing up to Infinity 2 - which I cant have - what a joke.
I am now in the process of going through Ofcom and the newspapers to vent my spleen
I feel dismayed that Openreach were paid to upgrade my village to FTTC but then I am told I am tier 2 which costs MORE.
3 miles down the road they get 70Mb down and 20+ up for less money.
Pity Ofcom hasn't got he balls to make Openreach a separate business.
Anyway, I will soon be free of BT, if not Openreach.
In order to find out what services and speed range you should be getting, please enter your phone number into this form.
Broadband availability checker
Please remember to edit out your phone number before you post the results.
Then, if you have a HH5 can you go to hub manager then trobleshooting then helpdesk and post lines 1-12
Could you please post the results from the BT Wholesale speed checker, including the further diagnostics.
I know what I should be getting as I had that for 2 years until the day BT took the broadband over.
can you post the hub stats and btspeedtester diagnostic results requested by Keith please
OFCOM will not help as they do not help with individual cases but they may take a note
No ISP guarantees the up speed so not just BT
