Infinity via Poles

Is there anyone who knows about fibre over telegraph poles ?

The BT Checker says that my number will be available from June 30th

What do I need to look for to see if this is likely?

Thanks

Does the BT checker specifically say FTTC or FTTP

Re: Infinity via Poles

The BT Checker states FTTC
Your cabinet is planned to have WBC FTTC by 30th June 2011. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 27.9Mbps and upstream line speed of 6Mbps.

That wwill be Fibre To The Cabinet, not FTTP.

You should see some New green Cabinets, see here: http://postimage.org/image/2iszf4mec/ within a few yards of the old cabinets.

If they are in placemaybe you are on course timescale wise.

If they are not yet in place, you have quite a little while to wait
