This connection has been awful but now it's gone too far. Our upload speed of 10kb means it's impossible to online game and slows done everything else. Our download speed today is also down to 160kb.

Your line stats indicate you should be recieving around 2000Kbps throughput (A 2500Kbps IP Profile).
The BT Speedtest site is having problems at the moment but when it is fixed, please can you run a speedtest at: http://speedtester.bt.com and post the results here?

It didn't do a test for upload speeds. I can give you a speed test from another site.
are you having connection problems just your connection speed is different from yesterday suggesting a reset. your speed has dropped to 2880 but that should give you a profile of 2500 not 2000. that may mean that was a lower connection since yesterday
Yes the connection cuts out almost routinely every 30 mins or so. Very annoying.
the usual questions are
try quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 should hear nothing and best done with a corded phone cordless normal is a dull him
are you connected directly to the master or test socket or to another extension socket in another room? do you have phone extension sockets in other rooms?
There is a definite static sound. It's not particularly loud but it's certainly not quiet, nor is there a dull hum. We have been plugged into the main test socket for over a year now and we have no extension cords. We have no phone extensions in other rooms.
if you have noise on your connection then you need to report a phone fault to 151 and do NOT mention broadband get rid of the noise and help improve your broadband
