So finally waiting a month after shafted left right and centre and appointment dates missed and changed by BT no less than 5 times. It seems the more you complain the more your dates get pushed back. MY FTTP 900 is installed Friday between 8 am and 1. I just hope that I get the speed promise concerns me the amount of varying results.
Thought Openreach Northern Ireland seem to be ahead of England in terms of infrastructure.
Yes these are trying times but if they couldn't commit to the other appointments they should have just told me the date of the 28th so i wouldn't sit and get anxious about it.
This is the last chance i giving bt or cancelling the order and staying with bt. What infuriates me is I see other people being connected every day. The policy of Openreach not being allowed to retain the appointments has been an issue ever since FTTC role out i just hope they dont come up with some other excuse for cancelling my appointment this friday when its been confirmed.
I have had to wait another entire month on virgin costing me another £80 they may refund me that once the connection has been sorted. I have not heard anything back from my complaint email the manager asked me and beg me to close the complaint before the line was installed and I didnt.
Mine goes in this Friday too, I am also in Northern Ireland.
I have had no issues so far (touch wood). Had a engineer out last week to inspect the pipe and check cable route outside. Looks like they will have to lift a patio slab to access the line which is slightly annoying, but its the builders fault for not putting in a bigger pipe.
I am hoping that one of the other engineers just gives the old line a good tug and it pulls through. It would save a lot of messing about.
All being well I will be connected by Friday evening.
