Re: Interleaving Troubles.. Stuck on 0.5 mbps.

And here it seems we're back to the original problem the engineer had. Old wiring causing a problem somewhere internally...

two filters.jpg

you can use 2 filters which will enable all your extension sockets while allowing you to maintain your test socket connection

you need to connect to test socket to improve your connection until you can find the problem with your internal wiring.

you should also check your sockets and see if the bellwire is connected to terminal 3 and if so rmove it from all sockets

bellwire removal

Re: Interleaving Troubles.. Stuck on 0.5 mbps.

Tried this. There are 2 phone extensions and 1 main phone that plug in at the front door. The direct phone is working but the extensions are not (kitchen and hands free phone)

However when all plugged into the main socket (not the test) everything works..

Re: Interleaving Troubles.. Stuck on 0.5 mbps.

sorry

if you connect to test socket then none of the extensions work?  the extensions should be connected to the back of the detached bottom half of the master and therefore won't work when you use test socket

Re: Interleaving Troubles.. Stuck on 0.5 mbps.

Ok cheers lads! Phones working and broadband also working. would you like updated router stats with everything plugged back in?

Good suggestion on the bell wires. Would it be worth ringing the house phone to see if it still drops?

Also, the router is normally plugged in away from the front door. What's the likelihood of these issues coming back if after 3-5 days there's an improvement and it goes back to its usual home?
