Intermittent Sound Issues

Been having problems with sound breaking on BT Sport TV channels recently.
Doesn’t seem to happen on other channels.

Re: Intermittent Sound Issues

Hi @DK1083,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting. I'm sorry your experiencing picture break up when watching BT Sport. Do the picture break up happen on both the HD and SD channels? Do you get any error messages when this happens?

Thanks

Paddy

Re: Intermittent Sound Issues

I suggest you read my post again. I am not having picture break up. The problem is intermittent sound break up. The problem only occurs on BT Sport channels and not necessarily on all of them. It’s very annoying when you are trying to listen to commentary. As it’s intermittent it’s not easy to pin down when it's happening apart from on the channel being watched.

Re: Intermittent Sound Issues

Hi @DK1083,

My apologies I did mean to write a sound break up.

Have you noticed if the problem happens more on the HD channels than SD? The sound break up can sometimes indicate a problem with the connection. How are you connected to the Hub are you using powerline adaptors?

When you have sound issues, if you pause the channel for a few seconds does the sound return to normal?

Thanks

Paddy

Re: Intermittent Sound Issues

Not sure. I am using BT Powerline adapters which are new. I only tend to watch the HD channels but will check the non-HD. I will also try pausing to see if it makes any difference however, I only have the problem on the Sports channels.

Re: Intermittent Sound Issues

Two other things to check @DK1083 :

* Are you using a connected sound system? Or is this just the sound coming from your TV?

* Is the sound break up during the match, or when switching to/from the ad breaks?

Re: Intermittent Sound Issues

Sound is from the TV.. Nothing connected. Sound issues continue through advert breaks from memory but as it’s intermittent it’s difficult to say. I will pay attention to this as usually I ignore the adverts!

Re: Intermittent Sound Issues

I too have had Powerline adapters installed and now have sound problems on BT Sport channels. I assume this must be interference from something? Very annoying.

Re: Intermittent Sound Issues

This is a problem that seems to have returned in recent weeks. It is certainly prevalent on Sport channels in both HD and Ultimate.  My T4000 is  connected via Ethernet cable and the sound is from the TV. Over this weekend it has been more prominent and is becoming very irritating. Tis is clearly either a transmission issue or the hardware/software in the BT box is incompatible with the transmission. I was given a T4000 box to overcome this issue some time ago and in the main it did cure the problem but now it’s back.
