Tonight I've noticed these sound dropouts starting from the strictly results and following programmes, this only seems to be affecting the HD channel, and does not affect the SD channel.
Everything was fine previously, HD TV aerial cable into youview Box.
Do we know of a current issue affecting BT YOUVIEW customers on BBCONE tonight?
BBC1HD comes in via your tv aerial and not the BT Youview system - so most likely a signal issue with your aerial.
Which programme was it as a few are in 5.1 which may be you problem?
All programmes on CH101 since Strictly results on Sunday.
Can an aerial have a sound issue like this out of the blue?
TV doesn't have surround sound.
The aerial lead comes from wall socket and goes into an antiference 75 series digital media IR Distribution Amplifier, another lead from this goes to the YouView box, another lead from the YouView box goes to the TV.
So in theory CH101 is through the YouView box.
I can't test it from wall direct to the TV as I don't have the correct ends.
It is through the Youview box but does not come from BT - it is via your aerial.
Aerial interference can come from a variety of places - central heating, microwaves. etc.
Next time it happens to need to exclude the amplifier which may be the problem if you are sure it is not the aerial cables.
What are your signal readings for BBC1HD on 101?
"Good" is not a reading of signal strength on the Youview box - at least not on mine.
