Upgraded the Fibre and they sent me the new router recently... Put it in... Start browsing... All fine.
Downloaded a little, speeds are good. 4 times better.
After 2 or 3 days bam, the whole internet connection dies whenever I try downloading files at high speeds..
What in gods name is this **bleep**?
My laptops internet competely cuts off. And the phones run extremely slow / or cut off.
It's a bit silly really. Had no issues on the non-fibre.
Download Speed - 25.01
Upload Speed - 0.00
Ping Latency - 28.00
Further Diagnostics - I get an error message when trying to find my address.
"No Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) services have been found at this address. Please check the postcode or use the Telephone Number or Service ID to conduct the test."
I am using that link yes. And I have no idea if I'm on FTTC or FTTP 😕
Ok I've just ran the further diagnostics by using the ADSL and Fibre etc and I'm not sure what infomation you need so heres the picture.
Ultimately, the general internet and browsing is fine, its just whenever I download a movie or album or game, it all comes crashing down.
How do I stop this? Even when I start the download, it will download at 3.5mb and then drop to 0 after 30 seconds because the connection died.
There is nothing wrong with your Internet download speed of 31Mbs. Is the device you are downloading on, connected using an Ethernet cable?
It could also be the site that you are downloading from, is restricting the speed.
