Re: Internet Speed and Stability Issues

Go to solution

Can't recall anything like that. Sadly I don't have a spare filter, only other thing that I can think of is peak demand causing problems

Speed appears to have increased slighty but its still a bit sluggish

Speedtester.bt.com is still giving me this error

'The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.'

you often get that message when it is busy - just keep trying or wait to a quieter time tomorrow

Re: Internet Speed and Stability Issues

Go to solution

After needing the phone line last night I put the socket back together and pluged the phones back and the internet ran fine till about 9PM again I was unable to even load the speedtester.bt.com. It eventually sped up at around 11pm. came back home today to find the internet slow again but was able to get the speedtester to work. Here are the results.

Download speedachieved during the test was - 0.03 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 4 Mbps-21 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 12.65 Mbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.99Mbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.83 Mbps

Here is the home hub stats. looking at the connection time it appears to have maintained its connection since I reattached the phone lines. was hoping to leave it in the test socket for longer times but was unable to.
