The internet connection keeps dropping out and has randomly dropped out many times over a month period. Theres noise on the line and noise margin tends to be high. The connection can just suddenly become stable again.
We've had this problem many times before and was always traced back to the exchange being the issue.
Try quiet line test. Dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone. If you get line noise apart from announcement then report phone fault NOT broadband to 151. Get that fixed and stability should improve
i have donethe quite line test and as a Openreach engineer i have tested the line otherways and alll is good , this a i stated happens every so often and is usually an issue with the broadband not the line , i cant remeber what the moderator done last time but they reset some settungs and it seems to have been alright for about a year and a bit , now the issue has returned
