I have just upgraded to halo with the latest hub and disk. Before this I had drop off's I assumed as did the open reach engineer that the system was old as i still had the white box and version 2 router. I may not be able to cope with the increased network traffic. Is this a problem with the network? I know that I am some distance from the exchange but 90 meters from the green box in the road. The engineer when testing house to exchange and house to box and all measured to be fine. It seems to be worst during a rainy time.
Is there any noise on your phone calls? Dial 17070 and select option 2, there should be no noise between the announcements.
A noisy line is the normal cause of disconnections, especially for those people connected to a telephone pole.
