Re: Introducing BT Plus!

This is pretty nice to be honest, I was more exicted when the website told me I could get Ultrafast Plus 300Mbps but then I quickly noticed it was bugged and I can still only get my crappy 40Mbps. What is the schedule for Ultrafast Plus rollout in the Scottish Borders?

@SeanD

I've checked the BT site out and I am interested but the promo doesn't mention calling plans whereas BT infinity has an integral calling plan. Can you advise please.

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the comments.

@max4186 – I don’t have any information as to the progress of the Ultrafast rollout Smiley Sad  Sorry that the website got your hopes up.

@Anonymous – The unlimited UK weekend calls will still come as part of the package.  There will also be options to bolt on other calling plans if you so wish.

Thanks

DanielS

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

It’s an interesting and useful option. It will need careful consideration, however. I’m on Infinity 2, unlimited. Speeds are not exactly high at 58 Mbps.

I’ve recently received a new mobile phone (working well on BT 4g) and want to upgrade the data allowance - just the one phone. At first glance there’s only a very small price increase, looking at the offer which appears on mybt.

The Mobile sim is a variable, as with the existing Call Minder (the full option).

Will these extras result in a larger cost increase, over and above the basic BT PLUS offer?

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

In MY BT my upgrade option is still Infinity 2, but if I follow the BT Plus route the offer is slightly less than I am paying now and carrying forward my existing broadband discount for 12 of the new 18 months. Strangely though there is no mention of signing a new mobile contract which would have tied the two companies components together?

@Ribblelancs

Putting Call Minder including Call Protect is an extra £5 per month. The other thing to note is that when upgrading it may remove any other current offers on your account...

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

@StewM

The emphasis is on BT Plus Broadband, in this case BT Plus Superfast Broadband... the mobile side of things is an inclusive extra if you have BT Mobile so no change to the contract just double data and extra speed..

I upgraded today from infinity 2 to Superfast Fibre Plus and received a 4GB boost in my mobile data allowance in the process. As for cost, I upgraded by ringing 0800 800 150 and got through to a very nice young lady in Doncaster who did me a deal and I'm actually paying less now than before.
