Re: Introducing BT Plus!

They don't. They tell you the average speed figure in line with Ofcom rules. A totally meaningless figure!

They don't, they just quote an average speed.

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

@NeilOwrote:

@gworf74 I am really sorry your were misinformed that your existing discounts would carry on in addition to the BT Plus service, as you've found out this is not the case.  We would like to help you get this resolved, please use the 'click here to contact the mods' link in my forum profile to send in your details. You can find the link by clicking on my username.

Thanks

Neil

Thanks for making this clear @NeilO - I will therefore not consider my 'personalised' BT Plus offer any further as I am not about to forgoe another 12 months of discount at £7.50 a month

I have just had an almost identical issue with a BT Mobile offer which, if I had taken it up as per the email, would have effectively wiped out a discount there.

BT need to seriously look at this. There isn't even anything in the small print of these offers to say 'Any existing discounts will be removed' which, I am sure you would agree, would be the very least that should be done to avoid people being mislead by advertising that is claiming it will 'cost just £3 more' (when in fact with the removal of discount it is actually about £10.50/month more overall).

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

Hello , I had an existing Infinity broadband package and an existing BT Mobile package each with separate account numbers. I then upgraded to BT Plus. The accounts got merged and on the 15th June an order was placed for the Plus benefits to go to the mobile which is extra speed and double data. I am still not getting the benefits and the order is still open. I have rang up so many times and they tell me it's with the offline team. It still hasn't been actioned. Is this just me or are others having this problem? Thanks

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

Hi @Richie18

I think some users have had some issues, you are best to keep chatting with the online chat team who can raise this with the Plus team to get the mobile accounts set up correctly

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

Have you had your problem with BT Plus sorted yet? I’ve just signed up for this but then realised to benefit from the mobile data and speed increases I had to merge my 2 accounts...I phoned on Saturday about the merge and now my account seems a mess with 1 of my 2 mobiles not even showing up...

Frustrated from Belfast...

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

Hi, unfortunately not. I've raised a complaint on Saturday but haven't heard back yet. Under my package my mobile doesn't show up since the merge. It only shows landline and broadband. Hope you get it sorted.

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

If BT Plus is really bringing "fibre and 4G  together" surely the 4G calling plan should apply to the landline? Why does the landline still charge for calling mobiles on this plan or restrict "free" calls, for that matter, to the weekend? I'm sure it would cost BT little to add this provision in.

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

Calls to BT mobiles are including in the talk plan. So if you have unlimited calls that includes calls to BT mobiles.

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

That's also the case with Anytime Calls so not what I was saying. Calls to ALL mobiles should be included.
