They don't. They tell you the average speed figure in line with Ofcom rules. A totally meaningless figure!
@NeilOwrote:@gworf74 I am really sorry your were misinformed that your existing discounts would carry on in addition to the BT Plus service, as you've found out this is not the case. We would like to help you get this resolved, please use the 'click here to contact the mods' link in my forum profile to send in your details. You can find the link by clicking on my username.
Thanks

Thanks for making this clear @NeilO - I will therefore not consider my 'personalised' BT Plus offer any further as I am not about to forgoe another 12 months of discount at £7.50 a month
I have just had an almost identical issue with a BT Mobile offer which, if I had taken it up as per the email, would have effectively wiped out a discount there.
BT need to seriously look at this. There isn't even anything in the small print of these offers to say 'Any existing discounts will be removed' which, I am sure you would agree, would be the very least that should be done to avoid people being mislead by advertising that is claiming it will 'cost just £3 more' (when in fact with the removal of discount it is actually about £10.50/month more overall).
Hi @Richie18
I think some users have had some issues, you are best to keep chatting with the online chat team who can raise this with the Plus team to get the mobile accounts set up correctly
Have you had your problem with BT Plus sorted yet? I’ve just signed up for this but then realised to benefit from the mobile data and speed increases I had to merge my 2 accounts...I phoned on Saturday about the merge and now my account seems a mess with 1 of my 2 mobiles not even showing up...
Frustrated from Belfast...
If BT Plus is really bringing "fibre and 4G together" surely the 4G calling plan should apply to the landline? Why does the landline still charge for calling mobiles on this plan or restrict "free" calls, for that matter, to the weekend? I'm sure it would cost BT little to add this provision in.
That's also the case with Anytime Calls so not what I was saying. Calls to ALL mobiles should be included.
