I'm interested, but have only recently moved to BT and have an existing fibre broadband deal. Out of curiosity I went through the order process and noticed the following message:
How I read this is, if I took BT Plus, I would get the price offered less any existing broadband discount I currently have for the 16 months that remain on my original contract, with the normal price that has been quoted for the final 2 months.
Can someone from BT confirm I am reading that right??!
If that’s what it states, then it’s true. I have a discount on my standard package at the moment. i’m not on BT Plus. So sooner or later the discount will be removed. Presumably it’s the same when going to BT Plus, except that you will note that the price will increase after that new 18 month term, together with removal of your initial discount 2 months earlier.
You can always double check by calling 00800800150.
The way I read it is that anybody with a discount currently is not going to benefit. I.e you will continue to get your current discount until the end of its contractural period and then revert to standard pricing, never getting the published 'Plus' rate. Seems crazy if that is how it will work, it is very badly worded.
I'm getting this on MY BT page:
Please try again by refreshing the page
Also my mobile data for both mobile's still hasn't been doubled as stated, even after calling up 3 times now.
I had the same issue, their back end system was having integrity issues due to the current promotions on the plan. Which they were unable to change.
Call and ask them to send it to the plus team who manually removed the stuck order and added them manually.
My account doesn't show any open order's.

I haven't really got a clue on when my latest contract started......
I'll have to wade through 18 months of pdf files to show when any new contract started.
There are some special offers included which give a small discount.
Presumably many customers have current special special offers.
When you look at my new offer, there's going to be an initial increase of ~ £1.00 on the monthly bill, - thats for the plan, excluding call costs - without that discount. (phone package cost seems to change month by month.)
If I subscribe to BT Plus then the real increase will come after that 18 months.
Must be difficult for BT Billing to track individual records.
Perhaps @SeanD could clarify.

Depending upon your usage and point of view, there is a benefit in that you get an extra 4GB of data free of charge.
Of course not everyone uses all their mobile data anyway so this may be more of a benefit to some than to others.
Thanks for your posts!
Sorry for the problems you're having with your orders. Can you guys have a word with our >> Order Live Chat Team << first of all and let me know how you get on?
Cheers,
