You have to ring up, I don`t think you can do it via the app.
I'm still having problems with some devices connecting only connecting at 2.4 when they are 5ghz capable.
these being sky q silver and mini
Gone through the hidden sky menu to try to force 5ghz with no success and the app says the devices are not dual band capable when they definely are and within site of a hub or disk.
Also tried switching channels between 36, 40 and 44
Which app are you referring to? Is it the MyBt app?
If it’s of any help, the MyBt app shows some slight inconsistencies, when used on mobile devices.....
Clear the cache, and login again from the beginning. You have to start with your BT I’d, and then your login password.
I go to the browser utility.
the bt app isn't much cop imho as it doesn't recognise settings made via the browser such as naming your hosts.
You also can't configure access control, I would go on but trying to focus on the problem in hand.
I’m not sure as I don’t use tv boxes.
Does the sky q box only connect at 2.4ghz to a BT hub system?
Do you need a sky hub for a 5ghz connection? Advertising info implies this.....
Going into the sky installation menu, it offers both.
may be it does need a sky extender, but surely if it is offering both you'd get the option
Various reports from othe sources suggest changing the 5ghz channel to No. 48 and set wireless mode to 2.
Reports of success appear to be conflicting, however.......works for some, but unstable for others.
You should, of course, disable smart setup on the Hub.
I used the previous Smart Hub for a long time with no issues. My home network was fast and I could link easily with other computers and storage devices on my wireless and ethernet LAN. I have upgraded to Smart Hub 2 but am not impressed. I have not changed my network set up other than install the Smart Hub2 and discs. I am disappointed that the intercommunication between devices is very much slower.I could probably live with that but the frustrating problem is that it does not maintain links. I can be connected and using a network device one minute and the next time I try to use it I have to re-enter the device username and password. It does not seem to lose the connection but does seem to lose the credentials. This applies to PCs and NAS and both ethernet and wi-fi connected devices. I can't figure out what's going on. BT sent a replacement Hub but it is still the same. I have tried running without the discs but it is still the same. I have reset the Hub but to no avail. I do not understand why the network is 'losing' this login information. It never did with the previous Hub. I only ordered the Smart Hub 2 as I was thinking of extending the range to accommodate some security cameras but I think I may go back to the previous Hub.
Can anyone advise?
