Re: Ios11 mail

Sorry it hasn’t worked for you - it worked whilst I was out and is doing now I’m home. Have you deleted your a/c and reinstalled? The other thing I did was the double tap of home button and swipe closed every app (I’m sure there’s a more technical description of this?!). Good luck

Re: Ios11 mail

Interesting - it has been working since last night. I wonder if BT has tweaked something at the server end?

Keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of today and beyond!

Re: Ios11 mail

Frustratingly, the issue has come back. First noticed it this morning.

Mods - any views please?

Hi.

Is your account BTYahoo or BTMail?

If the former (webmail access shows a Yahoo image), then login via a browser :-

https://mail.yahoo.com

this has been shown to kick access via apps/clients into action.

Re: Ios11 mail

Hi, thanks for the reply.

It is a Yahoo account and I am always logged in during the day via the webmail client. Sadly this hasn't helped kickstart the iOS inbox today!

Hi.

Logout of your current webmail access. Then login via the link I gave.

(Have you tried this before and it has worked?)

Re: Ios11 mail

Hi,

That's the link I always use...logged in and out today but not made a difference.

Thanks

Re: Ios11 mail

Well this is driving me mad. Webmail is showing 10 new emails today, none of which have been delivered to my iPhone.

I can’t be alone suffering from this!

BT/Yahoo - any chance of some investment in infrastructure?

Re: Ios11 mail

Same problem here.  If you delete account and then add again it does then download some emails for a short period before something kicks in to stop it.

I've tried POP3 and SMTP servers, both same problem.  I understand the way to solve it with a Yahoo account is to change a setting in yahoo mail on computer to allow access from external apps - I think the default safety setting stops restricts access. I can't find this setting in BT Mail settings.

Definitely a problem with BT, mods please help!?
