Can anyone help me with this please? I have an email address ending in @Yahoo.co.uk. Is that attached to my BT broadband as I thought it was separate. I'm being given conflicting information, even by bt. When I first set off with it years ago yahoo was bt but I'm not sure now. I'm looking to change my Internet provider but I can't lose all my stored emails at any cost And would like to keep the same address. thanks

No, that email address is definitely not attached to your BT broadband.
There is a BTYahoo email system that IS attached to BT broadband but the addresses are in the form xxxx@btinternet.com
If it is a xxxx@yahoo.co.uk it was never a BTYahoo address, just a vanilla Yahoo
I have been told the other day by bt help. That 2 emails I have, one of which is the @Yahoo.co.uk aand one is a btopenworld. com would both end or have to upgrade to premium accounts. I knew the openworld would go, but was told the yahoo would as well. I have been tearing my hair out trying to sort it out. Totally conflicting views from each department.
I can assure you that you WILL lose the btopenworld address but not the yahoo.co.uk address, the help desk are hopeless.

Btopenworld is the bt email, if you terminate contract you may not have access to this.
@Yahoo.co.uk is totally seperate and your emails are safe.
You are wasting time on this you dont need too, be careful you are not getting scammed as I never heard of premium email service etc.
Oh dear. The Premium mail service is for customers who leave BTBroadband but wish to keep their xxx@btinternet.com email address and costs £7.50/m
