I am currently with virgin on a 20mb connection, though the past 4 months the speeds have been abysmal, at peak times my games lag my ping is at the lowest of 87 when it is usually 40-45 and it used to be about 19-29 in games, I am on my last tether wit them, they ignore my calls for help, I know BT is only via land line but what is land line like for gaming? 10mb is ample for gaming for me but the way. Does BT have abysmal connections at peak times like virgin?
John, you talk rubbish, you advise somebody to move to BT from Virgin. Do you read the other posts you reply to, all the problems and appaling service. I am leaving BT and would never deal with them ever again. Hope your victim decides to ignore your advice!!!
If you're a gamer, why don't you look into some of the other smaller broadband providers who have excellent customer service ratings such as Zen Internet and XILO. I'm considering them for when my contract runs out. BT and excellent customer service are oxymorons.
I am aware of the other forums and do not really expect customer service at virgin to be much better, I can only hope. The point is to tell somebody to move from the frying pan to the fire, !!!?
I left Virgin in AUGUST 2011....biggest mistake i ever made, loss of connection on a daily basis,i have emailed BT's famous contact us service which is **bleep**E!! all they send you is links that fix nothing and leaves you with same problem,i have emailed BT to tell them i am stopping direct debit as broadband dropping has been going on since day one...thats right..DAY ONE!!!! engineers said "its a BT exchange fault" but still got the problem so they can go eat ***T. Hope that answers your question???
