The current position means that although we are no longer offering Broadband Talk to new customers, any existing users who experience a problem with a Hub 2 would still be able to get a replacement Hub which would be compatible with their hub phones. We do not expect this situation to change in the near future.
Thanks Craig. It would appear I'm one of many how use, and enjoy, Broadband Talk and we want it to stay!
But can you tell the front end they keep saying that if you upgrade.
You will lose the Broadband Talk a short time after upgrading.
When I said about the Hub 2a they said they were only sending out Hub 3 for all upgrades not the Hub2a for exciting customers
I think BT Retail will be offering something else to replace Broadband Talk in the future. Given that they have rolled out a lot of 21CN equipment with does have IP capability it was only a matter of time before they started to get people off BB Talk.
I don't use Broadband Talk much but it is occasionally very useful to have another phone / phone number available. I tend to use the Softphone more, it gives me a phone to when away from home. Will just have to remember to ask for a Home Hub 2 is I ever have to replace the present one
