Is there a limit to number of wireless devices attached to 2.4ghz on HH6?

Is there a limit to number of wireless devices attached to 2.4ghz on HH6? I'm having real problems connecting my iphone to the 2.4ghz network (no problem on 5) after going out for the morning . It was fine this am but it just won't connect. I've logged on to the hub and other things are connected ok wirelessly to 2.4ghz, but I just can't get the phone to connect. This happens from time to time to various members of the family at random - and my Sonos won't connect this pm either. It also was ok yesterday but didn't try it this am.

Any insight as to what's going on.

Its just the home hubs that have a problem, there would not normally be a limit but the home hubs seem to to have problems re-using connections.

Try the usual fixes for the home hub, in this order.

factory reset the home hub.

Then turn Smart Setup off.

Then separate and rename the SSIDs.

Bear in mind that a wireless channel can only be used by one device at a time, so the more devices that are connected and passing data, the slower the wireless will get.

Thanks Keith. I don't mind about speed slowing; just connecting would be nice. Yes, I've split the channels already.

Do you know if there is any issue like this on AC1600?

Do you mean the TP-Link AC1600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit VDSL/ADSL Modem Router ?

yes, that one. I had one for a while last year, but it was faulty, so I exchanged it but never set it up again as HH6 seemed to be behaving.

There should be no issues with that one, as it works in a totally different way to the home hubs.

I use a TP Link router, and so does my daughter, at her house, never had any wireless connection issues, she has about 32 different devices operating in the house.

I would set yours up again, and see how it goes.

Hi Keith - quick question about the TP Link (I've just set it all up again - took hours to attach everything!)

Do you know how many days worth of network statistics the TP Link keeps please?  This one only seems to keep one day worth of system/network stats.  I certainly can't track multiple DSL down over a number of days like I can with the BT Smart Hub. Or have I missed something?

There should be a system log, which hold many hundreds of entries.

You can normally filter them to show system errors. You can on my TP Link W9970, so it should also be on your TP Link router.

Thanks Keith. Thats what I thought. I'm sure that was the case on the last TP link that I had that I sent back but it just won't hold more than one day's worth of stats on this one. Very weird.  65 pages max and all the entries are today.  That doesn't seem right.
