I see what you mean but when banded profile releases then connection speed will increase not back to normal but better as noise margin drops. as conenction is adsl2 ip profile will change with the conenction speed and I have not seen any where ip profile has stuck on an adsl2 connectionIt's possible, I've had first hand experince. I did, and John was very helpful.
An update on this ongoing issue. Spoke to our family friend over the weekend. He told me that he has been unplugging the router every nights for months. I have asked him to keep the router plugged in from this point forward. There is nothing wrong with the line and as suggested hopefully his speed will be restored. I will let you know what happens.
