Hi,
My family has a powerline network with 3 1gb BT adaptors in use (including the one connected to the hub), I recently purchased an additional 2 1gb BT adaptors to add in for my little sister and brother to use. However, they were left out in the cold for about 10 days due to Royal Mail being a bit dim on delivery and hiding them somewhere in the backyard without leaving a card.
When I added in one of the adaptors (bringing our network to 4 access points), it all worked fine for a day or so but gradually the powerline network started to suffer from constant drops that occurred and lasted increasing amount of times over the Christmas period. I had yet to add the 5th adapter due to this fact.
Could this have been caused by cold damage to the new adaptors? Or could it be that the wiring in the house is unable to sustain 4 powerline adaptors at one time? I find it a little weird that one bad adaptor could cause issues with the whole network but of course, I am not an expert, hence my asking for help :P.
It is worth noting that the powerline network worked fine for months and only started to go wrong when I added in the additional 4th adaptor.
Thanks,
Dante
Are the new adapters exactly the same model as the existing ones?
I am pretty sure yes, they are all this model:

Could be a faulty adapter, or just poor transmission through the main wiring. Did you try the other adapter to see if that worked?
