Just changed from Sky to BT . My incoming email no longer works because it goes through the Sky

Since changing from Sky to  to BT I no longer receive incoming email. on investigation it would appear that my emails used to come through sky server using my sky email.  I don't have a bt email.   Can anyone give me the reason I no longer redeive emails.   I'm guessing I have to change servers????

No, you still need to use whatever servers you were using previously, nothing should have changed.

If  you had something like a **@sky.com or whatever email address , do Sky keep the email address 'alive' after you leave them ?, it could be that after you leave they delete your email account.

If you are using the same device ( phone/tablet etc)  that you could access emails from previously, and nothing's changed in that devices setup, and it's just that now the device is now logged onto BT internet connection rather than a Sky internet connection , it shouldn't really shouldn't make any difference, after all , if for example you were logged into coffee shops 'free' wifi, and an email was sent to you, you would still receive that email, irrespective of who provides the coffee shops 'wifi'

I assume you are talking about a Sky email address here? Even though you have left Sky you keep their email address, unless you have specifically asked for it to be closed down.

Can you send emails? 

What happens when you sync mail, is there an error?
