Just had replacement Hub and the connection is now WORSE!!!

hi there,

I decided around 2 months ago to leave TalkTalk for BT due to terrible service and internet quality.

So i got my BT Home HUb 4, set it up and all seemed well i had a lower ping 52ms and was happy with the change.

However around 2 1/2 weeks after i was on BT my connection became extreemly bad the hub would just randomly out of nowhere disconnect for 2-4 hours at a time and the only solution to get it working again was trying to reconnect at different intervals BUT when i was connected the connection was very good as i said 52ms which was perfect for my gaming.

Then 4 days ago the Hub just randomly after doing the ususal 3 hour disconnect completely powered OFF and wouldnt turn back on therefore i ordered a replacement BT Home Hub 4 which i recieved TODAY.

I was excited and plugged the hub in and connected only to discover that for some weird reason, my ping was now 71ms!!!

But not only that, the connection is also EXTREMELY laggy going up and down to 130 400 565 300ms resulting in me not being able to play my game which is what i mainly use it for.

Im basically wondering why this has happened, how can my connection go from 52ms on the EXACT same hub 4 days ago to 71ms lagging constantly up to 300+ms???!?

plz help me i left TalkTalk due to bad service so this isn't the type of internet i should be getting.

Re: Just recieved replacement Hub and the connection is now WORSE!!!

A quick browsing of the forums led me to see that my connection being INTERLEAVED can affect performance could it help switching this off?

Re: Just recieved replacement Hub and the connection is now WORSE!!!

Interleaving is applied to a line automatically to try and stabilise the connection due to a high number of line errors if you have it turned off you are likely to find it back on again in a very short time if the line has low errors the interleaving will turn off automatically
