Keep being called by 22003???

My phone keeps ringing and on the display shows 22003.

This seems like a short number to me and if I call it back the number is too short.

Also sometimes when I dial a number the number does not dial and the tone stays on as I dail. I have tried another phone and the same thing happens but its only sometimes. I am not calling BT out as they will charge £125 I know.

Anyone had these issues, I have only been with BT for a month coming over from Sky so not going well.

providing the fault is at the test socket then there would be no charge

Re: Keep being called by 22003???

Hi Ronnie234567

Welcome to the forum, can you try these equipment and test socket checks that will help you determine where the problem is? The engineering charge applies when the fault is on your own wiring or equipment but the checks will help you rule this out.

Thanks

Neil

Re: Keep being called by 22003???

Hi,

I have checked the master socket.

It seems clear to be this must be a BT issue as the line has been fine for years and years and the issue only started the day I moved over to BT. I will just put up with it as I am not paying such monies.

Thanks.

What is the result if you do a line test using this link?

Re: Keep being called by 22003???

Hi,

I have done this test and it says the line is fine which is why I do not wish to call BT out.

I will live with it for now as its not major and if it gets worse I will contact BT.

Thanks.
