Hub 4 and disabling smart set up didn't work. I tried several channels with no effect.
What's splitting the networks?

I have tried setting up a new connection. Cannot find anywhere to delete the existing details. Changed my hub name so it would look like a new connection.
It doesn't sound like a wireless problem. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't due to the ongoing DNS problems that seem to keep re-occurring.
@Bob1001 As you have a non BT router, have you tried changing the DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to see if that helps? Not sure if you can change DNS servers on a kindle.
Didn't help
Yes

I assume your other devices are working ok as you are posting here.
Most of my devices are ethernet cabled. My printer only connects to the hub not the internet unless you are updating it. Mobile connects. Connects to BT Wi Fi with Fon until the problem where it isn't inputting what I type for signing in into the sign on webpage correctly or that browser style log on doesn't wotk in kindle so I get stuck on that page & if I go off it and go back to store it asks me to log on. However it does sho the wi fi connected symbol at the top so it shows my kindle is still capable of connecting to wi fi- it just doesn't like logging on through a webpage to an internet connection as BT Wi Fi with FON needs
Is it BTWifi you can not connect to or your own home network which should be something like BTHomehub4-xxxx
