Landline calls - redial after 60 minutes

Go to solution

Why do we have to put down the call and call again if we call say a number which is part of our package like a landline call after 60 minutes.

Also does this apply to calls made to free numbers like 0800.

It's to stop people clogging up the network by leaving their phones connected for hours on end.

A few years back, one of the mobile phone companies offered a truly unlimited calls package.  They had to put a stop to it when people started using their phones as baby monitors.  Just dial your own number, put the phone next to the baby and leave it on all night.
