Large Mobile data usage although at home connected to wifi

Hi

Ive just noticed that in the past 3 days whilst ive been at home all the time ive somehow managed to use 3gb of data, not sure how that is possible if connected to wifi.

I do listen to spotify whilst at home quite a lot however ive checked and the setting in there is correct in that it does not go via cellular.

I do connect to social media but i thought that would of all gone through my wifi.

this is baffling me, it used up all my monthly allowance in 10 days last month, its becoming un-managable.

Any ideas?

Why not turn off mobile data until you need the internet when out of range of wifi?

ive found that spotify still uses 4g connection whilst your on wifi so i guess that your suggestion is the only way to avoid that, you have to be really careful with these apps, thanks
