Latency Variation (Ping Spikes) during online gaming.

Let's hope there is a fix to this soon. I'm tired of using BT openzone just to game when someone is using the internet.

wow thats actually really interesting, your right! my ping is completely stable once i switch to openzone lol.

The ispreview getting a hold of the story has little to do with BT doing anyhting. I've been in contact with the MODs here trying to figure it out a while before ispreview did an article on it.

If you live in an area where you get decent speed on BT openzone it's way better which is crazy.  Another solution is if you live in a busy household throw them on BT openzone so you can have the internet exclusively for yourself. 

I've been gaming with BT openzone for a while cause my internet is unstable and so far it's been solid mind you that was with 10 down and 7 up and a ping of 34ms.

Can either of you do ping tests while connected to Openzone?

It would be good to have a comparrison in routes etc. Ping Plotter in ipv4 results would be best.

my ping issues have magically been resolved now? or it seems like it has. i testing 2 4k60 youtube videos and 1080p netflix whilst streaming at 10k bitrate on mixer and i havent seen any ping spikes? all i did was pm the mod team with my info lol.

Can you do an IPv4 test in Ping Plotter to confirm it?
