Letter from BT offering free upgrade to basic broadband

My Mother has a phone line with BT - recently received a letter (snailmail) offering a free upgrade.

Can't see anything online about this offer - does anyone have any details about this..or where I can find them..I always use mobile broadband when i visit.

Quick replying to myself - no responses - seems this must be a rare item - I'll ring BT I suppose....

@kulana Yes there is an offer at the moment that is being targeted at eligible customers. I'm afraid this is not advertised or promoted on the website but there's a number on the mailer that you can call for more information.

Thanks NeilO, I rang the 0800 number on the letter, and have arranged take-up of the upgrade.

BT provide a free modem/router with 40GB bundled. Anticioated speeds look more than good enough from hereabouts. Tnx Kulana ps will see how it works out...

Further to above - homehub 4 arrived on q (except postie (delivery) delay)) - up and running will see how we go....
