Lightning strike!
Thunder and lightning storm last night and now have no power to router. Looks like a scorch mark on socket when I removed plug. Any and all suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated

Re: Lightning strike!
It is very doubtful that a surge protector would protected from a lightning strike. They are designed to protect from power surges on the electrical line that emanate from the normal electrical supply not the excessive current surge from a direct or nearby lightning strike.

Re: Lightning strike!
If you have visible scorch marks on the wall socket due to lightning damage then I would be surprised if the hub were the only item to be affected in the home. As an ex TV engineer I saw this kind of thing fairly frequently and its rarely good news.
