Hello,
Could you have a look at the stats below and let me know what you think, educated guesses ideally.
I am not confident on the current internal wiring from a DP by the window going around 15 meters through the property to the master socket.
BT wholesale checker states -
VDSL Range A (Clean) | 47.9 | 32.8 | 8 | 5.5 | 30 | |||
VDSL Range B (Impacted) | 46.8 | 31.4 | 7.9 | 5.1 | 27 |
Currently the router is syncing 32399 Down, and 4999 up.
Line attenuation DS1: 18.9 DS2: 51.1 DS3: 79.5
SNR - DS1 15.6 DS2 15.4 DS3 0.0
With anyluck I am hoping to get the master socket moved to the initial DP point coming in to the property, then eventually add a second 4G solution ( We are semi rural).
Thanks,
Jamie
Hi @itsjamielike, the sync speeds are at the lower end of the checker estimates and the SNR is on the high side which can reduce the connection speed. If you dial 17070 and run a quiet line test is there any noise on the landline?
have you tried using the test socket with a filter to see if that improves your connection speed by eliminating any extension wiring in your home
Normal for a cordless phone is a dull hum and anything else could be a problem. Getting the master moved to where the incoming wire enters your home can do nothing but help
you didn't post full router stats especially internet connection time or attainable speed
