Line goes dead when ringing BT

Morning

Am ringing 0800 389 1827 to discuss billing issue. (Number quoted in email from BT) You get voice asking you to enter number “you’d like to talk about”. I do that and nothing happens. Tried it quite a few times. Am I missing something?

Probably a scam email. If you entered your number, then you have confirmed its a working line, so you may see in an increase in scam phone calls, so watch out.

Call 0800 800 150 and select billing.

Thank you for posting. I'm sorry you haven't been able to contact BT when ringing 0800 389 1827. That is a BT Number. That team normally deals with cancelation and migration request.

If you still can't get through while calling that number, I would give 0800 800 150 a call as suggested by @Keith_Beddoe.
