Linking additional camera to baby monitor 6000

Hi,

I am trying to link an additional camera to my baby monitor (both camera and parent unit are the 6000 version) by clicking to add camera number 2 on the parent unit and pressing the link button on the camera.  After about 30 seconds I get a long beep noise but the camera does not connect.  

Please could you tell me how this is supposed to work?

Hi John

yes I have checked the instructions on this thread however it’s not working for me I’m afraid.  I am pressing the add camera function on the parent unit and the link button on the camera, they both flash as though searching but then a long beep noise comes and the additional camera is not found.  

is there any more advice?

I'm wondering if you ever got your second camera connecting and how? I'm trying to connect an additional camera and it doesn't seem to be picking it up. Have you any advice thanks.

For anyone still struggling with this, I’ve just done it by doing the following:

Before: ensure screen unit turned on and plugged in, and the same for the camera 

1 - turn camera off via switch on side

2 - turn on again and straight after press and hold “link” button for a few seconds (I think I did about 5)

3 - on the unit, go to the camera with a plus icon, scroll down to a free slot (2, 3 or 4 usually - any without a green tick basically) and press the “OK” button

4 - you should briefly see a third green light flash on the left side of the screen (I.e. above the blue “plugged in” light and the green “power on”  light). It will be brief if you’ve done it right and the screen will switch to your new camera view.

5 - if this didn’t work then you will see the third green light flashing for longer before a long beep when it gives up. If this happens you should try repeating the steps, changing the order (e.g. base unit button first then camera button etc), changing how long you press the link button for etc. 

I did the above with a 2 and a bit year old camera (same model 6000 monitor) for which the base station had stopped working and a new base station, so now we are all set for 2 camera setup.

It’s in the bottom of my answer - read the last paragraph. We didn’t buy a separate camera, we bought a new set because the old base station died
