I have been searching the post re this subject, I have found a vast number of people with the problem but cannot find any answer forthcoming from BT. Perhaps by now someone has found a solution, so here again is the problem.
My wife's email is a ...live.co.uk and for years she has sent/forwarded me emails to my ...btinternet.com address. There has never been a problem until about twelve month ago when her emails finish up in my Spam folder.
Her email address is on my 'Safe Recipients' list and is NOT blocked. The same thing in reverse, my email address is on her 'Safe Recipients' list and is not blocked. My email junk setting is 'low'. If she sends to my @outlook address, everything is fine.
Has anyone, especially BT, got a solution to this problem and why did it suddenly start?

Hi @Roboman welcome to the community and thanks for posting, I'm sorry about the delay getting back to you.
Can you try the following advice and let me know if it helps?
We recommend you regularly check your Spam folder as sometimes emails you’re expecting may end up there. If they do, select the message and click on the Not Spam button. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the email back into your Inbox.
This tells us that you're happy to receive this type of email and we’ll eventually send it to your Inbox instead of automatically putting it in your Spam folder.
Marking a message as "Not spam" won't necessarily guarantee that future email messages from that sender will be put into your Inbox. To improve the automatic filtering, you can also add the originator's email address to your contacts directory and also to your 'Safe Senders List'.
By default, email in the Spam folder is automatically deleted after a month. This should give you enough time to look at your "Spam" emails and check whether they are really spam. However you may wish to do this more regularly by selecting the email message and then clicking on the Trash bin icon to the right of the folder. Or, you can select 'Delete' from the top toolbar. You can also select multiple emails and drag and drop them into the Trash folder.
Hi NeilO
You will see from my original post that the email from my wife's @Live .co.uk always goes to my 'Spam' Box. You will also see that both addresses have been marked as 'Not Spam' and 'Not Junk' and have been added to 'Safe Recipients' list. They have also NOT been blocked.
Have tried a previous suggestion of having a copy to, but although my wife received the copy, the message still went to the Spam box. My wife has a new laptop but it makes no difference. All her emails to my @btinternet.com address finish up as 'junk'. The worry is when she sends to other people who are also with BT.
So I'm afraid your post didn't solve the problem
It looks like I'm on BT mail according to the help check and going to 'MYBT', clicking 'Emails' and the heading did not have the word 'Yahoo'.
Hi, @Roboman thanks for confirming that, as you've tried almost everything already the only thing I can think of checking now would be if there are any rules set up that could be putting them in the spam folder. In BT mail can you click on the "Settings" tab then select the "Rules" folder to see if there is a rule in place?
If that's not it, I've also sent you a Private Message with details on how you can get in contact with the mod team and we'll raise a case with our email experts to get this checked.
I have already looked in the Rules and nothing is there.
I look forward to receiving your email. Nothing so far!
Hi @Roboman,
Glad to hear that it looks like you have been able to fix the issue.
Anytime your adding an email address to the 'Safe Recipients' list or marking an email as "Not Junk" it's best to do this via webmail as we would have no control over third-party applications.
Enjoy the rugby.
Matt
Hi Matt
Thanks for the phone call and sorry I didn't speak to you personally. My wife considered that my love of rugby took priority over a BT solution! I can't understand how it got blocked by the server in the first place. One of the many mysteries of the computer!
Hi Matt - it looks like I have the same problem - emails going directly to spam even though the sender is in my safe senders list. Can you help me with the solution that helped the other user?
