Loss of BT Premium Mail via webmail

Go to solution

After transferring to the f.o.c. BT Premium Mail service yesterday, as a Plusnet broadband subscriber, I can no longer access BT webmail via my browser.

The previous login (https://signin1.bt.com/login/emailloginform) delivers a home page (https://www.bt.com/?wm52), but clicking on 'E-mail' returns to the same page.

Also, Your Homepage > Premium mail > Manage your BT Mail > Go favorite mailbox, simply returns to the home page.

Assistance would be much appreciated.

As far as I'm aware, BT Premium mail is not f.o.c. for Plusnet customers though.

Hmm, interesting, that would appear to contradict what the mods were saying in message 14 of this thread.

My experience is that the Plusnet forum message is correct - I expect to be subject to a 'zero-billing' arrangement, as discussed and agreed with BT yesterday (tel: 0800 800 030).

Post one of the thread gg30340 posted clearly isn't correct, as it implies it's free for BT users. Of course, it sounds like a miscommunication about what's free - "normal" accounts are.

I was informed that it was f.o.c. to Plusnet *broadband* subscribers.

Indeed, which is interesting. The comment about implying being free to BT users was on the PN forums.

Seems very strange, not least because PN are a completely separate company to BT, despite BT being the parent. I would almost argue that it could be deemed dodgy practice.

Re: Loss of BT Premium Mail via webmail

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your recent discussion around premium mail and if this is chargeable if you're a Plusnet customer. I can clarify that the BT policy if you leave BT Broadband and wish to continue using your BT Mail will require you to set up a chargeable Premium Mail account regardless of which ISP you move to.

If you would like more information on the Premium Mail service please check out this help page.

Thanks

Neil
