Lost Landline Number

I recently transferred to Now TV for their phone & broadband package.  It didn't go to well as, unbeknown to me, Now changed my landline number after thirty+ years. On Discovering this I complained to Now who did nothing and suggested BT as my only option. I have now rejoined BT and was hoping that something could now be done in so far as recovering my old number.

How long ago was the NowTV cancel and the BT ‘provide’ ?
Usually, the number has to be back with BT and in quarantine for a little while before it’s available to be allocated to a new BT customer ( or in your case allocated to you )
If the Mod offers help , then these seem to go reasonably well ( and relatively quickly,) but that would probably still be longer than you would like, the number you currently have will have to be renumbered to the one you want , but only once it shows as being available

The transfer to BT is currently underway. The transfer to BT date will be 28th September.

Not much you can do for a while, when the BT service is up and running , if you post again, hopefully a BT Mod will pick this up then and ask you to contact them, then they should be able to process the renumber order to get you back with the original number , but not much can be done before BT are your supplier, presumably that will be the 28th

@iniltous is spot on and we won't be able to do anything until your BT service is live. If you would like to post back here once it's up and working we can look into the renumber for you.
